My Voodoo Case Concept

Worklog: Here
While it's missing a few bits of case design and initial work (if you have any other pics, do upload them Ken C!) we loved Ken C's 'My Voodoo Case Concept' for it's neat lines and true liking to the Voodoo PC chassis. We'd have to agree that the HP Blackbird chassis does look great (having seen one up close and personal in last year's Custom PC Dream PC Labs Test) so it's no surprise that anyone would want to replicate it.
What really impressed us though is how well Ken C has pulled it off with some brilliant corner edges that are a refreshing change from the straight lines we've been seeing recently. It also looks like it might survive a fall from a five storey building too although we'd probably suggest not doing trying that.
Here's the frame unfortunately in a largely completed state but still very impressive. Ken C received quite a bit of praise for the finishing of the corners of the frame and rightly so, they look fantastic. Apparently they were achieved but cutting out small sections on one side and then bending them over.
Fairly simple we suppose but it certainly did the trick! It looks like Ken C has opted for an upside down motherboard mount reminiscent of BTX or that used in some Lian Li cases although we're fairly sure the HP/Voodoo Blackbird design was the other way up! Maybe they could learn a thing or two from Ken C!
With the side panel mounted and a gaping side window present too, it looks great and you get a great view of the motherboard. There looks to be a surprising amount of room in the case too although we're not sure if that will be the final resting place of the PSU or not.
The case has made quite a big of progress by this point and now includes a metal mesh for the central panels. Again this looks fantastic and could have come straight off a production line!
Also above, the case has received a coat of white primer which has instantly made it look even more professional.
Again we'd love to see more images but after receiving its final coat of black gloss, My Voodoo Case Concept looks stunning and maybe better than the real thing! A splendid job indeed and make sure you head over to
Ken C's project log to see the rest of his pictures.
